This was quite superb! I loved it from start to finish. Kevin Bacon - so bad it's good!

I feel just the same as you about industrial farming by the way. Our part of rural France is famous for its beef - except ours live in small herds (about a dozen or so cows) and they simply get to graze in the fields all day. Same is true for the veal calves - they grow up with the herd/their mothers like they would naturally. It's why Limousin beef is such high quality. Makes me realise, as well, that most people simply don't know anymore what real food actually tastes like.

I think it should be a mandatory part of the education curriculum that young people spend a few weeks each summer working on a farm (proper organic farm, obviously). Then they'd understand and respect where food comes from.

I have never been to your part of France, sounds idyllic. Couldn't agree with you more about the need for better food education. We need to wind back the clock on our food industry, and descale and relocalise it
